we stopped at the Minuteman Missile Visitor Contact Station. We viewed a short film about the whys and hows of the Missile Sites, saw maps of the locations of the missile sites and even saw a chair that the missileers sat in!
When we were at the rest area we noticed an irregularity with one of the tires, thankfully we were still close to civilization : ) and drove into Chamberlain, located a tire place on the GPS and the attendant had our size tires in stock. While the men were getting the tires changed, I walked to a park with the younger three. They picked us up within an hour! and we were again on our way.
we headed West on I -90 for our family vacation/Spring Break/Ski Trip. Our first stop was the rest area at Chamberlain SD. Because we were traveling off season, the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center was not open yet for the season. However, the rest rooms were open and we were able to read some of the interpretive signs and enjoy the view.
