The Lower Park

Halfway Between the Upper Park and the Lower

We found this monument to two of the things Lipetsk is most famous for:  ferrous metallurgy and mineral springs.

Upper Park

A mixture of old and new sculptures.

The pipeline carries natural gas.

The men were hard at work reassembling the fountains.

The sign reads Lipetsk.

Tuesday

D picked us up after lunch and took us to the Lipetsk War Memorial and the adjoining park.  Then he drove us by Daddy's office before dropping us off at another park in town.

Out to Supper

with Daddy at the Beer House.  One of the reasons:  they have English menus.  From the name and the appearance you would assume it was German and I think it was but there were also many elements that made me think Scottish, kilts, tartans and coats of arms with Scottish names. . .But if the story of the restaurant was on the menu I couldn't read it and I don't speak enough Russian to ask one of the waitstaff.  To add more confusion they also had pizza!  However, the food was plentiful and yummy.

Hanging Out at the Hotel

Playing games, reading books and doing art!
