The bulls went to Tieler's house in Chester and the bred cows went to ND. Turns out it was cheaper to take the cows to hay then to bring hay to the cows. This was a drought year and we got very little hay from our alfalfa fields. They will calve in ND and then come home in the spring when the grass is greening up. One cow, Houdini, stayed in Salem. One time while Kyle was checking on cows she was down the road apiece at the neighbors farm. It was agreed that she would probably stay in a pen better than she stayed in the pasture.
