On the Road Again

Add caption
The last time we visited the CSS Neuse that was excavated from the river it was in an open air building and they were fundraising to put it in a climate controlled environment.  This photo is from 2003.

Our next visit will have to be on a Saturday.

Along the roadsides in eastern NC are trees, it kinda feels claustrophobic after driving in the midwest.

Hog or chicken or turkey barns are a common sight in Eastern NC.

As are the livestock trailers that move them.

We stopped at a favorite spot just before Emerald Isle for a bit of lunch...I had a shrimp burger, everyone else had Eastern NC BBQ.

And a quick stop at the Farmer's Market for some fresh fruits and veggies!
