Years ago A and I talked about doing a triathlon, we both lived in NC at the time, but that summer she broke her foot and I ended up being pregnant with C.  The next year we both moved halfway across the country.  For various reasons and none whatsoever we didn't do it the next couple of summers.  This winter we started looking for a triathlon halfway between our homes and A found one in Omaha.  It was good incentive to work out those cold, dark mornings!  The event was a sprint triathlon with an open water swim of 750 m (about 800 yards), a 20 K bike ride (about 12 miles) and a 5 K run (3.1 miles).
