Once upon a time a couple bought a drugstore and gave themselves five years to make it, the years went by but business was not booming, the wife had the idea to offer free ice water to travelers and the rest they say is history. Keep in mind this was before air conditioning, interstate highways and fast cars. These travelers were hot, dusty, tired and thirsty. The idea worked and they still offer free ice water and 5 cent coffee. Of course with all the other things they offer for sale it is a wonder we got out of there with the shirts on our backs! But now we can say, "Been there, done that". Evidently there is a sign for Wall Drug in Africa and even in outer space! For all you Southerns, it kinda reminded me of "South of the Border".
