Nearly every park in Moscow and Lipetsk has amusement rides. As soon as I saw them I warned the children that we would not be partaking of them! My children know I am not fond of amusement park rides, I think their safety is sketchy at best. Not to mention the expense. I'm not a total stick in the mud, we have gone to Busch Gardens after all. And the four older ones rode all the roller coasters they could! I just didn't watch. Somehow I feel as if the permanent parks are probably safer, inspections and stuff but also they are not taken apart and put back together again in a new town each week by someone with questionable skills. When we go to the State Fair they can each pick one ride, usually it is bumper cars or the carousel. One year H made her Daddy take her on the ferris wheel. Last year at the SD State Fair the big boys spent some of their own money and I have no idea what they rode, yep, head in the sand. But, this day we had a long afternoon stretching in front of us and you even have to pay for the playgrounds in this town! So I relented (caved) and let them ride a couple of rides. The girls chose bumper boats and bumper cars. C Rode along with H on the bumper boats and then tried a peddle car. We also had some good old fashioned fun when we happened upon a hop scotch game drawn on the sidewalk under the trees.
