When we finish exploring the fair we head out the gate and stop in the horse complex to watch whatever breed is showing at the time. Now, my boys are not as fond of horses as I and the girls are but they sit patiently but when I saw the event happening Thursday night I thought that the boys may enjoy it just as much as the girls, and I was correct. Each cowboy is armed with two .45 caliber handguns loaded with blanks. He or she must shoot five balloons in a pattern, then switch guns and shoot the remaining five balloons on a rundown. It was great fun to watch and I had trouble tearing everyone away from the arena. But, the world series baseball game featuring the Red Sox finally did it!
