We parked near the horse complex as that is usually our last stop of the day. When we lived in NC a trip to the State Fair was an annual occurrence. We haven't lived in NC for six years and C had never been to the NC State Fair, but when we used to visit the fair we used to end our day at whatever horse show was in progress. Today was Food Lion Hunger Relief Day at the fair so our entry fee was canned goods that would help fill up the NC food pantries. I was very glad to see trucks in the parking lots so we could deliver our ( heavy) cans and get tickets before walking too far! After entering the gates we head to the mill where we enjoy a hot hush puppy and a quick tour of the mill before heading across the bridge to see
