St. Patrick's Cathedral

Each kneeler (seat cushion?) was handmade and different from every other one.

The Tree of Remembrance - visitors are invited to write the name of a loved one that has been affected by conflict on a leaf shaped tag.

St. Patrick's Cathedral was named in honor of Ireland's Patron Saint and is adjacent to the well where Patrick baptized converts on his visits to Dublin.  The present building dates from 1220 and is an Anglican church.  We arrived shortly before 11 am and our sight seeing was interrupted by a man who welcomed us all and then told us that it was their custom to pause at 11 to recite the Lord's Prayer, he then invited us to recite with him in our own language, I only heard English spoken, but it was very moving.  Afterwards he invited us to join him in the Lady Chapel for communion.  Although the form was somewhat different it was truly a blessing to share the Lord's supper in a country far from home with brothers and sisters in Christ from around the world.
