Our First Glimpse of Dominican Republic

From our vantage point on deck we could see several baseball games being played, causing us to try and name ball players from Dominican Republic.  Our vantage point also allowed us to watch the teams of men tie the boat off at the cleats on the dock.

Since this was our first cruise and in our first port city we had gotten off and found a tour we assumed we would be able to do that as well here.  We were mistaken, there were buses leaving to the town center and to an Italian village, but as English was not the native language it was much more difficult to understand our options.  We took the bus into the town center.  Hindsight is of course 20/20 and we should have scheduled  something on board the ship.
