we headed to the Monarch grove. It was misty with light rain falling and cool, but the forecast for Saturday was rain and lots of it and I wasn't sure we'd have time on Sunday before we drove South and I didn't want to NOT go. . . Last year there were clumps of butterflies in many trees spread throughout the grove, and lots flying around. The clumps were lower and the butterflies even while in the clumps were moving and thus more visible. http://ephesians2verse20.blogspot.com/2011/02/21000-monarch-butterflies.html So, even though there were fewer butterflies last year they were easier to see. We enjoyed being able to help two groups of people who had wandered the grove, looking but not finding, find the butterflies.
