The Corn Palace

The inside of the Corn Palace is a multipurpose civic center used for concerts, basketball games, craft fairs and other things.

Corn Husk Dolls - I remember my mom used to collect these!

This is one of the planning grids painted by an artist.

This is a panel that is awaiting completion.

Looking at it up close, you can see where the artist plans to put different colors of corn.  This panel is a fall scene with pumpkins and a black cat.

Mitchell SD

We saw this beef cow advertising a steak restaurant in Mitchell SD.  Pretty Sure his brother used to live on a Steak House roof in Vestal NY.

K and His New Apartment

We enjoyed a picnic with K at his new apartment on Saturday.  I brought salads and brownies and he cooked hotdogs and brats.  He gave us a tour of his apartment and we met one of his apartment mates.  His first week was just First Aid, CPR, AED and OSHA requirements.  His second week is tower and climbing safety.  His college classes begin August 27th.
