Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 28, 2013

Like the lighthouse picture we took long ago and far away!

Snow on the Roof

This was an advertisement gimmick for a 4 G phone service.  A red lighted object whooshed through the tubes at the spped of your new 4G connection.

Waiting for the fountain show. . .

Watching the fountain show from above.

We enjoyed some delicious frozen yogurt from "pinkberry" while we waited for the next fountain show.

Watching the fountain display from the same level.

A giant menorah on display at Starbucks for all of our friends celebrating Channukah.

I'm guessing the Afimoll management company does not have the flag etiquette book. . .

A contact lens solution vending machine!

We made a stop in the grocery store at the mall, it is the same grocery store chain that I shop at near our home but this was a very upscale version.  My local store does not stock black pasta!  We did find cheddar cheese, pecans, some pans that will work as pie pans and candy canes!
Daddy was traveling for work as Thanksgiving is not a holiday in Russia.  We had already planned to cook and celebrate Thanksgiving on Saturday.  The kids protested having school on a holiday, truth be told I did too. So, in the afternoon we headed out to Afimoll to see the giant Matroshkas, and the fountain.  We hoped to find a squat counting metro ticket machine and check out the art gallery at the metro as well.
