Primeval Russia

Before we got to the gallery we were looking for I saw this painting...

There were demonstrations of several art forms in the gallery.

One of my favorite birds, the puffin, probably because my Gramma read me a poem about a puffin and then took pictures of puffins when they traveled to Iceland.  I read the poem to my kids!

Also on display was a small chunk of the meteorite that landed in Chelyabinsk  15 February 2013.

We did not spend much time in the other galleries, but we did like this painting.

Interesting light fixture in the lobby of the building.
was the title of the Art Exhibit we went to see, it was a series of 20 photography projects devoted to Russia's flora and fauna.  It was fantastic!  And very cool to see the meteorite as well!  A little side note about the meteorite, when it landed K, our oldest who stayed in SD had all sorts of texts and messages wondering if we were all right after the impact of the meteorite.  It landed 932 miles away from us, we didn't hear or see a thing, to be fair, it was the largest natural object that entered the earth's atmosphere since 1908.
