Chemo #1

After the results of the lymph nodes showed that two of them had cancerous cells R's cancer was upgraded to stage 2b.  The standard protocol for that is four rounds of Cisplatin and Pemexetred every twenty-one days. We were pretty sure going into the meeting with the Oncologist that we would head home to the States for chemo.  After meeting with the Oncologist we determined that staying here was probably best for a number of reasons.  It was a difficult decision, and you know that they say, "Hindsight is 20/20"  knowing what we know now I am not sure we would have made the same decision, but maybe we would.  At any rate it is done and so far appears to have done it's job.
