Riding the Metro for the First Time

Heading into "our" metro station, Rechnoy Voksal.

Yeah, I know we look like tourists.

He was not the only musician we heard in the metro.

Riding up an escalator.

and down.

This sign is on the "circle line" and the blinking red lights show which station you are approaching.

The metro system is huge, efficient, clean, safe and beautiful!  The walls and floors are often marble, there are sculptures, paintings, frescoes, murals and what looks like stained glass.  I am sure I'll post more pics of the metros as we use them.
