| K arrives! |
Saturday Morning, March 2, 2013 the driver picked R and I up in order to head to the airport. We arrived before the plane touched down. K had met a couple of people on the plane, one a young man flying to Russia from Hawaii to visit a friend and the other a Russian returning home. The young man from Hawaii knew the Russian alphabet and helped K learn it. The Russian, who spoke English, helped both K and the young man with some words and phrases. K had no trouble getting through passport control, getting his luggage and getting through customs. We were thrilled his first international flight went so smoothly! The toughest part was probably his tight connection in JFK.
