Collecting our Luggage in anticipation of going through customs.

We got through passport control and were waiting in line in customs when C spotted this huge American flag and promptly saluted and recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

He was so excited to have a window seat on our JFK to RDU leg.  But before we had even taken off he and I had both fallen asleep!

We landed safely at RDU in Raleigh NC USA about 9:15 pm.  I was supposed to call Dad after we had collected our luggage so he and Mom and my Mother in Law and Father in Law could pick us up at the curb in front of the terminal.  So we headed toward baggage claim where we were met by four very happy parents/grandparents!  There were lots of hugs and kisses and a few tears.  We collected our luggage, only three suitcases going this direction :) and headed back to Mom and Dad's home.  After finding pjs the girls headed to my in laws home for the night and we all hit the sack.  Whew, what a day!  It is amazing to start the day in one country and end it halfway around the world.
