I'm not sure I've ever been so excited to see broccoli! All of my kids like broccoli, I have several recipes that use broccoli and for weeks on end I have seen no broccoli. Not in the neighborhood market or the small grocery in walking distance or the larger grocery at the metro stop or Metro Cash and Carry. Not fresh or frozen, I even looked for canned. I could find no explanation, it didn't seem to be a victim of the food bans...I had nearly given up hope of seeing broccoli again before spring but one day I walked into the grocery store and there it was, I bought all they had, two smallish heads and we enjoyed broccoli cheese soup for supper!
