| The last time we visited the CSS Neuse that was excavated from the river it was in an open air building and they were fundraising to put it in a climate controlled environment. This photo is from 2003. |

| Along the roadsides in eastern NC are trees, it kinda feels claustrophobic after driving in the midwest. |

| Hog or chicken or turkey barns are a common sight in Eastern NC. |

| As are the livestock trailers that move them. |
 |
| We stopped at a favorite spot just before Emerald Isle for a bit of lunch...I had a shrimp burger, everyone else had Eastern NC BBQ. |

| And a quick stop at the Farmer's Market for some fresh fruits and veggies! |
