One day last winter H mentioned to me that she would really like to meet some people like her, meaning with hemiplegia. It was shortly after that conversation that I saw the CHASA, Children's Hemiplegia and Stroke Awareness group was having their semi- annual retreat in Denton TX. I reasoned we could fit that into our summer plans. We did and I am so glad! We met some really neat people, renewed our friendships with people that we had met in PA in 2002, and/or knew only online. We also met some wonderful service dogs, saw some adaptive equipment and had fun!
