It was on the way so how could I not stop at The Mercantile especially after having been to Magnolia. Alas, we did not see Ree or Ladd but I assume they were busy working cattle, we did pass by the ranch though. Again, knowing the trunk and the suitcases would be full I only purchased a Christmas ornament but consoled myself with the knowledge that I can find her pretty things at Walmart. Although the line was around the block for the restaurant, the bakery was nearly empty, could have something to do it was BEFORE lunch, but we decided a cookie would tide us over until lunch, yum!
