Golden Gate Park

The weatherman promised a day of rain showers and while we waited for breakfast it did rain on us.  So over breakfast we debated about indoor things to do. . . R and I took a bus to Golden Gate Park past streets of "Painted Ladies", the beautifully painted, Victorian style homes that were next to one another up and down the hills of the San Francisco streets.  Once at the park we walked through dripping trees on wet paths until we arrived at the California Academy of Sciences, a combination Natural History Museum complete with a indoor rain forest, Planetarium and Aquarium.  We spent a delightful afternoon exploring and reading about everything from tortoises to upside down jellyfish.  The sun came out as we left the museum and made our way back to the bus stop, allowing glimpses of another beautiful sunset through the San Francisco streets.
