The Center was Informative, as Well!

Can you read the caption?  The photo was taken June 17, 2011 in Beartooth Pass, Northern Wyoming.  The runoff will flow into the Yellowstone River and then the Missouri River.  The figure in the center of the pic is a man!

Record water release at the Gavin's Point Spillway was 70,000 CFS in 1997.  That record held until May 30, 2011.  The day we visited the Spillway release was 141, 000 CFS.

The amount of water rushing through the dam was astounding and deafening.

The water felt colder than 71 degrees!
