H got a blue ribbon on each item she submitted to the fair. S got one blue ribbon and three purple ribbons (in 4 H purple ribbons are eligible to go to the State Fair). Both girls were very pleased with their first foray into fair submissions. S's pillowcase dress and her tote bag will go to the SD State Fair ( without us, we will be traveling). Her blondies will not go to the State Fair even though they were eligible because of our travel. The girls are already looking forward to entering items into the fair next year!
