From the Port into Helsinki

Not sure if this is his personal style, typical Finnish clothing, someone dressed up for a reenactment or a Finnish religious sect. . .

The front of the station was undergoing some reconstruction.

There were beautiful fruit stands on the platforms between the tracks.

When we got off the ship the first thing we had to do was go through passport control.  We were excited to find we got a stamp on our passport showing us entering Finland by ship.  Then we exchanged some rubles for euros, bought tickets and hopped on some form of above ground public transportation.  We got off at the Helsinki Railroad Station.  The station was designed by Eliel Saarinen in 1904 and made of Finnish granite.  200,000 people pass throughout this station daily headed all over Finland and into Russia.
