Submarine Museum

Babushkas selling various items from their dachas.

Next to the submarine there are two other vehicles docked, which appear to be part of the museum.

When we saw the sign we knew we were in the right place, that however did not guarantee anything.

When we got to the right location to access the submarine we noted that the museum was undergoing renovations.

This is Rechnoy Voksal, the river terminal from the other side of the Moscow Canal.  The brick building with the turret on the left in the background is our apartment building.

In the left background is the bridge we cross when headed to the airport, IKEA, Metro and Auchan.

WE FOUND A BEACH!

One of the weddings we saw this beautiful Saturday.

Remember lack of a swim suit does not mean you can't go swimming.  Not so bad here, but wait until later :)

Construction of a canal restaurant

Um, yes, several of these are not actually bikinis but bras.

I Love Moscow

I Love Moscow

When we go across the road to Rechnoy Voksal and look across the canal we can see a submarine and a seaplane?  I could only find a little information about the Submarine Museum but it was a beautiful day for a walk so we headed out.  There is no direct route across the canal so we headed south by metro, changed lines and leaded north on the other side of the canal.  When we arrived at the park we could tell the museum was not open as it was undergoing renovation.  We'll try again another time.  We decided to walk along the waterfront and discovered a beach and another park before getting some ice cream and heading back home to make some pizza and watch a family movie.
