Monday, December 21, 2015 ~ Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos

John Glenn in the Friendship 7 splashed down just miles off the coast of Grand Turk on February 20, 1962.

C doing his Ah Zabenya interpretation from the Lion King.

Humpback whales call the area near the Turks and Caicos their winter home where they birth their babies.  Having spent many a delightful hour in the NC aquariums learning about the migration of the humpback whales passing NC twice each year heading South for breeding and birthing and heading North for feeding and growing.  We wondered if this was a model of Salt, the most photographed whale in the wild.
