Eggs in the grocery store come in a box of ten or a flat. I have found both white and brown eggs. The difference here is that they are not washed as they are in the USA. Washing the egg removes the cuticle which can allow something on the outside of the egg to enter through the porous shell. When we had our own chickens we only washed the eggs right before we used them, seems that is what they do here in Russia as well.
