was to find a stable with an English speaking riding instructor. Upon some intelligence provided by R's translator we headed to the Moscow Hippodrome. We did not find the stables on our first pass, but we did find the Hippodrome. We even saw horses being ridden. We then followed the exterior fence of the Hippodrome property to the area that looked like it contained stables. When we arrived we were thwarted again, it seemed, as there was a guard and we did not have a specific stable or instructor name. The guard was going to give me a phone number to a stable when a young lady came up who spoke English and Russian. It turns out she has a gentle horse who she uses for lessons. He was recovering from an injury, but should be right as rain in another week or so. So stay tuned for more horse news.
