The Chambers of the Boyars Romanov ~ The State Historical Museum

The windows were made of mica!

This was a delightful museum home of the Boyars Romanov.  In each room there was an information card in Russian an English.  The ticket seller, coat room clerks and the docents were pleased to have us, though none spoke much English, and we still speak little Russian.  Photography was permitted, just no flash.  The tile stoves were beautiful but my favorite thing was the use of mica in the windows and furnishings.
