We were staying with dear friends that we made while living in Moscow in nearby Shallowater. They took us to the Silent Wings Museum, where we learned about a glider program during WWII. Then, onto the Buddy Holly Museum and to lunch at a yummy local cafe. We also watched a live outdoor performance of _The Music Man_ which was excellent.
The C46 / DC3 started flying in 1935 and is still flying today.
