At the Zoo ~ Make Way for Ducklings

When we first entered the zoo we saw this mama mallard in a flower bed, then we noticed that she had ducklings with her.  She kept jumping up on a stone wall and quacking for her little ones to follow her, they kept peeping that they just weren't big enough.  Eventually she made her way to the path and they followed her.  She then set out for the big pond in the old section of the zoo.  The pond had a fence around it, one she could easily hop over but her ducklings couldn't.  One they could easily fit through but that she couldn't.  Up she would hop and quack at her ducklings, they would peep at her and she would hop down, they go through the fence peeping at her and she'd quack at them from this side of the fence.  They had attracted uite a following by this time and one brave, compassionate Babushka scooped the little ducklings up and over the fence and shooed her to the other side as well.  Last we saw of them they were walking down the bank to the water's edge.
