Making Pumpkin Puree

Cut it in half and scoop out the seeds, place upside down in a inch of water in a baking pan.

When the pumpkin is soft, scoop it out of the shell.

Mash if necessary,

and use or freeze in recipe sized batches.  

We start with a pumpkin, which may or may not look like a pumpkin that you are familiar with!

Because we can't find this is Russia...
