The real reason for our trip to the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour

The ice on the Moscow River is breaking up.

Looking back at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour from the bridge

Looking toward the Kremlin from the bridge

was to find the Bridge of Kisses.  The metro stop was near the Cathedral.  Remember I asked K what he wanted to see while he was in Moscow and he told me nothing, that he was sure I'd find good things to see? And then he found the deepest metro?  So, I asked him again what he wanted to see and he found reference to the Bridge of Kisses and wanted to see the locks.  So, off we set.  According to some official site of the city of Moscow locks are no longer allowed on the bridges and city workers routinely cut them off with bolt cutters.  But, we checked out the bridge just in case the workers hadn't caught up to the lovers.  And we were rewarded!
