Dublin Hop On Hop Off Bus Tour Part Two

Statue of Oscar Wilde

A corner of St. Stephen's Green is set aside to commemorate the Irish famine, the statue honors Theodore Wolfe Tone the father of Irish republicanism.

We often see horses and ponies in Moscow available for "pony rides" but are often puzzled about where they come from, there are not a lot of stables in the city.  We joke that they are living on someones balcony or in the courtyard.  As we were enjoying our bus tour we saw this pony tied up outside this apartment block in Dublin.

Signs in Gaelic and English

Billboard reads, "230 is not hot enough.  235, the barley catches fire.  It's got to be 232 that makes Guinness."

We saw lots of kegs in Dublin.

Wellington Monument

A favorite haunt of U2 while they are in Dublin.

After we saw the Book of Kells and Trinity Library, we hopped on the bus with the gents for the city tour.  It traveled the same route and we heard and saw the same information but we enjoyed a different perspective.
