Entering Bethlehem

I booked our tour on the internet and was very pleased with our guides, their knowledge and coordination, as well as the transportation.  As our guide explained to us, he as an Israeli citizen, was not allowed into Bethlehem, a Palestinian city in the West Bank.  He drove us to a gate, and told us who to look for when we crossed into Bethlehem.  He told us he'd be waiting for us when we finished that part of our tour, and he was.  I put my camera away and the six in our family along with the two other ladies on our tour headed through the check point.  We were not stopped as we went into Bethlehem, and our ID was briefly checked as we left Bethlehem.  The crossing was simple, for us...On the other side we met our guide for our tour of the Bethlehem sites.  He was a Christian (he told us his family had been for centuries) Arab.
