The Old Courthouse Museum is housed in, you guessed it, an old courthouse. The Minnehaha County Courthouse was completed in 1893 of native Sioux quartzite. The roof was made of slate imported from the East. When they replaced the roof in 2000, they again brought slate from the East. The Old Courthouse Museum currently holds an exhibit on underwear, what was I thinking taking two teenage boys to an underwear exhibit?!
