Friendship Park

After we walked along the canal we walked back through Friendship Park.  The center of it was fenced off and flooded creating a meandering ice skating rink through the statues that the park is known for.  We may come back over here for an ice skating date night, as the children did not think it would be fun to skate on the paths but R and I did!  Friendship Park was founded during 1957 during the 6th World Youth and Student Festival held in Moscow, festival participants from more than 80 countries took part in the construction. There were several playground areas, one in the shape of a ship!
