Shortly after dinner the fireworks started. New Year's Eve is the big holiday in Russia. There are parties and food and drinks and fireworks. Lots and lots of fireworks. The fireworks went on nearly nonstop until the wee hours of the morning. And started again the next night! If the fireworks video clip works, it was taken from my kitchen window and gives you a glimpse of just how noisy it was here.
