Borrowing a tradition from the Canadian and British side of the family, the stockings are put on the kids beds after they are asleep. They can then open them and enjoy their treats while they wait to wake us up! At the appointed hour they bring their stockings into our room and wake us up. Daddy reads the Bible to us and then the kids show us what they got in their stockings and R and I open ours. Then we all eat some chocolate :)
