When we arrived here last year we would often look out our kitchen window at the night sky to watch the fireworks and then we noticed these sky lanterns as well. We remembered seeing one over our lake at home in SD. But here I could find packages of the sky lanterns for sale at the stationary store and the toy store. When we made our Winter Bucket List we put sky lanterns on it. Lighting them was a trick, the boys worked at it while the rest of us made a wind block. But, oh my, they were so cool to watch float up into the sky!
