Every year since the boys were little we have made "gingerbread" houses. My sister actually bakes gingerbread, cuts out the gingerbread and "glues" it together into real gingerbread houses, my Dad likes to help. Me, I use graham crackers, easier for me and no less fun for the kids. Over the years we have made gingerbread houses with friends in NC, MN, and SD. Sometimes my Dad and Mom have helped us put them together, one year Gramma and Grampa J made them with us, one year old friends from NC now living in KS came and made them with us in SD. The kids wanted to wait until K arrived to make our gingerbread houses this year and then we went on the ski trip so the construction date got pushed back. The graham crackers came back with us in a suitcase when we traveled in October, as did the mini candy canes. The other candy, cereal and pretzels were found here. This was the first year Daddy was able to build with us!
