Tripadvisor rates the Basel Zoo as the 8th best attraction in Basel. Forbes ranks Zoo Basel in the top 15 zoos in the world. I loved it! The habitats looked natural but were not so huge that you couldn't see the animals. With the exception of the construction near the elephant habitat where I could see the city, it felt like a very large park. It was busy but did not feel crowded. There were shaded benches, restrooms and food kiosks scattered throughout the zoo. But, my favorite thing was the babies!
