Kolomenskoe Park

The reason for our visit today, The Honey Fair.

Plenty of Furs still being worn.

This park worker was sweeping the gravel, from the winter, into piles on the grass along the walk for pickup.

This family was practicing golf.

One of the sure signs of spring in Moscow is the smell of fresh paint.

See the fur boots?

C thought this concrete block looked like Mickey Mouse.

Each booth contained a honey business, each booth had multiple five gallon buckets of various colors, tastes and consistencies of honey.  They encouraged you to taste and then to buy.  We tasted many and had so many questions but despite our persistence could not find anyone who spoke English, Spanish, French and Dutch, but no English.  Eventually, we just chose a couple we liked and purchased some pint containers of honey.

Dogs in coats

According to the signs most of these buildings were moved here, they weren't open for the season yet so we couldn't go in them.

This tree was covered with catkins!

Moscow River

We guessed that they might have used these tracks to move the buildings from the river to the park.

The shaslik smelled so good we had a snack.  R and M waited in line for our order while the younger children and I waited at a table.  The ladies cleaning at the outdoor area of the restaurant took our benches and tried to take our table, we tried to make them understand we were waiting for food.  Thankfully R and M showed up with our shaslik.

Evidently, not all Russians felt it was still cold.
