Was it as lovely on the inside as it was on the outside? Was it ornate or more simple? I don't know as I didn't go inside. I have a friend who is braver than I and she often ducks into churches that she passes by. I need to take a page from her playbook and pull up my scarf and peak inside. Most churches are always open and the devout wander in and out to pray and worship. In Russian Orthodox churches the women cover their heads and the men uncover theirs.
